DESCRIPTION: Pittsburgh’s Hidden Treasures, an Antiques Appraisal Show with thousands of visitors bring their prized paintings, antique toys, sports memorabilia, and more to the History Center. Visitors met with professional appraisers for a verbal assessment of potential monetary value. KDKA-TV camera crews roamed the History Center in search of the most unique items to be included in a nine-part TV Series televised later in the year.

    A woman was browsing through an antique shop and noticed a cat
drinking milk from a small bowl. She realized that the bowl was a rare
antique piece.
    Thinking fast, she asked the cashier if the cat was for sale.
    "Sure!" said the cashier, "You can have the cat for 10 bucks."
    The woman agreed and picked up the cat to take it home. She then coyly asked the cashier if she could have the bowl, too.
    The cashier shook his head and said, "Sorry, the bowl stays.
We've sold 11 cats from that one bowl!"
