You may be saying, "I am not a direct seller", but I beg to
differ and beg of you to continue reading because there may be some great things coming your
way.
For all of you direct sellers out there from offering self-services (i.e. massage,
hair stylist, personal trainers, etc.) to direct selling for organizations (i.e. Pampered Chef,
Avon, Tastefully Simple, etc.) to home-based businesses ... you will want to keep reading and take
advantage of what this next paragraph illustrates for potentially increasing your business,
branding, products, and overall self services.
Moreover, my name is Cindy Burgener and many of you have already met me at some
point in time either through friendships, craft fairs, employment, etc. I have been with Avon now
for about three years and plan to continue part-time making it the best I can. I was able to build
a team from zero reps to twenty reps and a $7,000 average sales within an eight week period. You
may be saying, "No Way!! Not possible!!"
Well friends, I am here to confirm that it is true ... I did it and now I am
writing a book to share my secrets of success with anyone who is willing to accept new and
innovative ways of growing a business and a client base that keeps that client from coming back for
more and more. How can this be? Simple ... read on. It will be made possible by the following
...
You are cordially invited to attend the next Direct Selling Women's (& a few
good Men's) Alliance, DSWA. WHO IS DSWA? Check us out at www.dswa.org. More benefits can be found at www.cms.dswa.org/node/46.
Meeting is held at the Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce on the third Friday of each month.
Friday was chosen to allow meeting attendees an opportunity to stay at a local hotel and do a
little sight seeing the following day. What a great little get-away for couples.
A coupon book is currently being created which will provide discounts to many of the local
merchants lodging, restaurants, etc. so you may enjoy when visiting our quaint little city. There
is also many great historic places to see in and around Greencastle such as Gettysburg, Hagerstown,
Chambersburg, etc.
This is also being created for those members who commute in from as far as 140 miles.
Meetings generally begins promptly at 6:30 PM and adjourns between 8-8:30.
My husband and I would like to ask if you would attend and we would gladly pay the guest dues of $8
per person who agrees to come as our personal guest. $5 of each $8 collected is sent to DSWA
headquarters to cover the webinars, courses, and other materials provided for meetings.
What are the benefits ... well you will have the opportunity to meet and hear some of the best and
successful direct sellers who have been in the business over 25 years as well as keynote speakers
from our infamous leaders of the larger DSWA organization.
Will hear many tips on building your business and clientele list. Will hear from trainers, local
business women and men ... all sorts of good stuff one needs to be successful in direct selling in
today's tough economic environment.
Deciding to join will also earn you face time for your products where you get to put them on
display and sell them during the meetings. We will do one vendor each month, possibly two
vendors. This is a good way of networking and selling your products. WOW!! cannot beat that
.... a captive audience ... meetings and shopping ... all-in-one!! WOW!!
Additional benefits include learning how to build bigger better performance driven teams, how to
build a bigger clientele list (this includes what to do once you make the first sell, you will want
to know how to keep them coming back for more!), and so much more.
Some of the areas discussed above may not be all inclusive to your business but I guarantee this
organization will provide you with ideas on marketing, advertising, displaying, and even selling
that you may not have ever thought of ... or maybe you have but did not move on it due to some
uncertainty of its success.
Even if you are a home-based business such as crafts you too are considered a direct seller.
A direct sellers can also be the woman or man down the street that has a little shop that sells
unique gifts and products ... technically she and he are direct sellers because they are direct
selling their unique merchandise to the public ... the only difference between the two is that one
requires clients to come in to shop while the other requires us to find clients on our own but
talking up our business to as many people as we can to spread the word.
Direct Sellers tend to rely on word-of-mouth advertising as well.
In closing, as the Founder and President of the Greencastle-Antrim DSWA Chapter, I
would like to respectfully and sincerely invite each of you as my personal guest to our next
meeting beginning at 6-6:30 for fellowship, meeting to begin promptly at 6:30. Meeting is held in
the Greencastle Chamber of Commerce in the back board room. Your presence is all that is needed
since my husband and I are covering the meeting dues. You will not regret the drive or attending.
Contact me directly if you should have any questions.
Moving to a different subject ... for those who are interested in the fundraising
for Priority One Ministries and Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association/American Chronic
Pain Association ... we will soon have a final place booked so keep your fingers crossed and for
those who pray ... keep these fundraisers in your prayers that we get the one venue that would
definitely put us in the newspapers. The venue I am seeking to book holds 55 10x10 spaces inside. I
am praying too that we get this venue. We are looking towards September since it should be nicer,
cooler temperatures just in case we have some outside vendors.
My apologizes for such a long message but I wanted for you to have the full picture
rather than an unclear distorted picture. Thank you all for your time and consideration regarding
all areas I am fostering.
Blessed be His Name,
Cindy Burgener
