With old-fashioned Costume Halloween Party at City YMCA in Lancaster PA
from 7:30PM to 10PM
DESCRIPTION: Tony's Annual Harvest Fest is a colossal all day event. The Antonio Forte Transplant
Fund Trust Committee and family have been given the honor from our dear friends from the Clipper Stadium, the
Lancaster Barnstormers and the City YMCA to host the Second Annual “Tony’s Harvest Fest.”
This fund and the events it sponsors will allow the Forte Family to have peace of mind once Tony
receives his greatest call of all, the call that will save his life. This fund is essential in allowing the Forte
Family to remain out in Pittsburgh to care for Tony’s recuperation following transplant surgery of his stomach and
intestinal tract, which can last from 3 to 9 months. His recuperation will solely depend on his health and the care
that his parents have so diligently provided since he was diagnosed with Total Colonic Hirschsprung’s Disease at
birth. Tony has grown into a very inspirational little boy of six years old, that has touched so many lives.
Working with our committee of volunteers, and the Forte family, we have secured a date. The
Festival will take place on Saturday, October 15th, 2011 at the Clipper Stadium and the City YMCA in Lancaster,
Pennsylvania. This event is open to the public. We expect both a full slate of vendors, sponsors and a large group
of area citizens from our community to attend.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the “Antonio Forte Transplant Fund Trust.” This
special needs trust will financially aid the family once transplant commences to help with the financial burdens of
uninsured medical expenses due to transplant not covered by his insurance, such as temporary re-location for Tony’s
recuperation, loss of employment, flight travel to the Transplant Center, meals, possible re-listment should the
transplant fail, medications currently not covered by insurance, etc. (More of the family’s story can be found at a
Website that was created by his older brother Vincent at www.aftft.com.)
The festival will have a Craft Show 8AM to 2PM, a Halloween Family Festival 11AM to 5PM with
delicious food, kid friendly activities and games, local area bands MC’d by Mr. Paul Scott of 92.7FM Smooth Jazz
and sponsored by Illusion Sound & Light, Tony’s Candlelight 5K Walk at 6PM which is a memorial to those who
have given life for a life, organ donors, transplant recipents and those who have lost their lives while waiting
for a new life, followed then by a YMCA sponsored old-fashioned Costume Halloween Party from 7:30PM - 10PM to end
the day’s festivities.
Further sign-up and sponsorship information will be forthcoming over the next few weeks. We ask
that you save this date on your calendar and come out to enthusiastically support this charitable event. We are
currently looking for vendors for the craft show, sponsors for live radio spots, and teams for the 5K Walk.
Local area organizations that mean a lot to our family will be on hand such as the Gift of Life
Program, the Penn State Children’s Hospital, Children’s Miracle Network, March of Dimes, Make-A-Wish, One Heart
Missions and PNC Bank.

#1 - We need vendors. Our goal is to get 100 arts & crafts vendors. We will be set-up on the
ball field and spaces will be $50 for a 10x10 space for home-based businesses, crafters and artists. $100 for a
10'x10' space for big business. If you are a smaller vendor and would like to share a space with another vendor, we
can certainly accomodate that. We will also ask for an item to be donated to raffle. If you would like to donate a
portion of your sales from the day to the Antonio Forte Transplant Fund Trust, it would be greatly appreciated, but
not required. See contact information for a vendor application and event sheet.
#2 - We need volunteers to help run the event. Registration "Coaches" to sign people in, "Runners"
to help direct people to their spaces, "Relievers" which would be assigned to a group of stands to watch if someone
needs to use the restroom or eat and a few to man the raffle table.
#3 - Please pass this onto your other crafting friends - the more vendors we can get the
better.
For Vendor Registration Form and 5K Walk Registration
please download the forms from the Website.
There will be news coverage and live radio and we expect a fantastic turnout.
