Pennsylvania State Laurel Festival
WHERE: Wellsboro PA (Tioga County PA.) DESCRIPTION: Annual festival to promote the community of Wellsboro and celebrate Mountain Laurel - the state flower of Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania State Laurel Festival is held the second through the third weekends in June. Week-long festival includes a parade that is always held the third Saturday in June, concerts, pet parade, juried arts and crafts show, food vendors, queens pageant, and more. "The Juried Arts and Crafts Show is held on the Wellsboro Green on Friday and Saturday of Laurel Festival Week. Potential vendors send applications with photos of product months in advance. The applications are judged by the committee and only the best are chosen to display and sell their wares during the Laurel Festival." The International Street of Foods is located on Pearl Street (back of the Green.) The firemen also put on a carnival at the same time as this event. See Website for details.
