WHERE: Memorial Park, 1000 Vander Avenue, York PA 17403

DESCRIPTION: Grand opening and dedication of the Gold Star Garden dedicated to all veterans and remembering the fallen in the War on Terror. Thoughtfully designed in a circle to promote unity, the Gold Star Garden consists of a series of outdoor rooms each planted in a certain color to reflect a core value.

Red is for Courage, so upon entering the red room on travels the Walk of the Intrepid and thinks about all aspects of Courage. "What is Courage? How Who do I know that acts with Courage? When do I act with Courage?, etc." Orange room represents Duty and Service, Yellow-Integrity and Remembrance, Green - Healing; Blue - Fidelity; Purple - Valor; and White for Honor in the center. The Star Walk connects all the rooms. On the arms of the Star Walk, find the names of the US fallen in the War on Terror.

Come early to help read all the names of the fallen. Wear comfortable shoes and walk the Intrepid Walk of those who serve our nation.
